My free gift was this Hugs and Kisses set. I think there were 4 to choose from but they only had the shea butter in stock, which was fine by me. This retails at £16
Included in the set is a 30ml Shea Butter Hand Cream (going through so much at the moment with the weather the way it is and work) and a 15ml Shea Butter Lip Balm which i have on my lips at the moment and they are so soft :)
My next little freebie was this gift set - It was free because the code was sent to me by a lovely lady called Sam on Beauty Box Swappers.
Inside is
- Amande Shower Oil, 35ml (always wanted to try this so this is the perfect little size to give it a go)
- Shea Butter Hand Cream, 10ml - Will always get used.
- Extra Gentle Milk Soap, 25g - I have used this before and it is lovely
- Verbena Shampoo, 30ml - I have tried the body lotion before but never the shampoo so this will be nice to try.
Also included was a £10 voucher off a £20 spend.....so i purchased......
You guessed it, more soap haha
- Bonne Mere Soap, Lavender, 100g
- Bonne Mere Soap, Rose, 100g
- Milk Extra Gentle Soap, 100g
- Roses et Reines Soap, 75g ( This has a far stronger scent than the Bonne Mere Rose Soap)
- Amand Exfoliating Soap, 50g
So what should have cost me approx £45 cost me £16.50 - I would say that is pretty damm good.
Next i wandered past The Body Shop (to be fair, it was on the way back to the bus) and saw that they had an offer on for students to get a body shop card for free instead of paying the normal amount. They also had a 20% off for student offer going on....
First thing i picked up was this nail polish duo. Normally these are £5 each but i got them for £7 for the two. The colours are Gorgeous Gray and Smoky Rose. They are pretty but the gray is a tad thin and the smoky rose is as far from rose as i can see.
- Shea Shower Cream, 60ml - £2
- Satsuma Shower Gel, 60ml - £2
- Strawberry Shower Gel, 60ml - £2
- Coconut Soap, 100g - £2
- Satsuma Soap, 100g - £2
- Strawberry Soap, 100g - £2
- Moringa Soap, 100g - £2
Organic Cotton Pads, Square - £2.50
Organic Cotton Pads, Round, - £2.50
So what should have cost me £26, cost me £21.50 - Ok not that much of a saving but it still means i got a packet of pads and a soap for free. So i win :)
Lastly i headed into LUSH to see if they had any Christmas stock in (i blame Zoella) they did.
First up i picked up First Snow Sparkly Dusting Powder, 30g and Lustre Dusting Powder, 40g.
First Snow - £4.75
Lustre - £10.25
First of all, i totally didn't realise the price of Lustre until now and honestly i would not have paid it had i realised. It was wet, cold and windy...totally put me off lol
Now these are meant to be dusted all over your body so you are all nice and sparkly for the many parties that you will of course be attending this festive season. They are bloody messy. First Snow smells really citrussy, which i was not expecting as First Snow to me is a much cleaner smell......this smells lovely, but it is not first snow in my opinion. Lustre is scented with the Lust perfume scent and smells so grown up....which kinda jarrs with the idea of putting glitter all over your body haha
- Hot Toddy Shower Gel, 100g - This smells exactly like those little sweeties called aromatics.....again, not particularly how i know a hot toddy to smell. - £3.95
- So White Shower Gel, 100g - This has apple in it which actually makes me think more of first snow than the scent of First Snow actually does lol. Smells amazing. - £4.50
- Rose Jam Shower Gel, 100g - I thought this was limited addition, which is why i got it, but it appears it is not. Oh well, i love the smell, It is hard to describe what a rose flavoured jam would smell like, but i am pretty sure it would smell like this. - £4.75
Snow Fairy Shower Gel, 250g - I didn't actually like this the first time i tried it. It was a bit too sickly for me but i LOVE it now. Wish December would hurry up so i have an excuse to use it haha. - £7.50
- Snow Fairy Sparkle Bar - This smells and looks exactly like a massage bar i have had before (if someone can enlighten me, please do) It has a cream centre and the amazing Snow Fairy scent. £4.95
- Charity Pot £1 - I always pick up one of these
- Snowman Shower Jelly, 100g - £3.50 - Never tried the shower jelly's before. This one has a lovely carrot and blackcurrant scent. What i don't get is that the tub is not recyclable. It is made from 100% recycled plastic but you can't recycle it yourself unless you take it back to a LUSH store.....presumably to get you to buy more stuff. Sneaky.
Baked Alaska Soap - £4.09 - Sweet and refreshing......it does look Christmassy, even if it is not actually part of their Christmas range.
Fairy Ring Soap - £4.43 - This contains real shiitake mushrooms and is absolutly adorable before it is cut up. This is completely palm oil free.
- Reindeer Rock Soap, £3.41 - Dried Lingonberry infusion = an amazing smell.
Yog Nog Soap, £4.08 - This smells AMAZING. I have never tried egg nog and now being mostly vegan, i very much doubt i will so this is as close as i can get......fudgy and delicious :)
WOW great haul! I must go get some Rose Jam shower gel I love the stuff x
