The Dandy is....was....a long running comic in the United Kingdom, very like The Beano!
However, sales have been slowly on the decline and the last printed issue came out on the 4th of December!
They have been flying off the shelves and i thought i had to have one.
It will continue as an online comic, but things lose their charm when they are just words on a screen. There is something very old school about a proper comic!
I remember as a young girl loving to read my big brothers Beano and Dandy comics and annuals. I myself got Bunty (of which i kept in pristine condition a huge collection and my mother made me throw them out - i have never forgiven her)
Paul McCartney has fulfilled his wish to be in The Dandy!
It also contained a pull out (seriously who would pull the middle out of such a collectible lol) copy of the very first edition. How cool :)
and a little farewell as they all sing us out to a rousing rendition of Hey Jude! How very fitting.
