Nail Envy

I seem to be a bit obsessed with doing my nails......i think it has a lot to do with being a student nurse and while on a clinical placement, it is not possible to wear nail varnish so now i have gone into overdrive haha!

So here are swatches of all the varnish's in my collection! There are not many, it is a work in progress :P

First up is Zoya in the shade Carey.....now im not going to lie, what i first recieved this in my Amarya Valentines box i was uber excited as i didn't have any of the polish's and wanted to try them! I wear this quite regularly and although nice to have a pastel colour to flaunt, it chips very easily and takes an age to dry! also takes three coats to become the desired effect which is a bit of a faff!

Next is a Claires Accessories mini which i have had for years in a black with silver sparkles. It isn't the best tbh, it goes clumpy and again needs about 20 coats before it is ok.......

Next is Elizabeth French Mystery. It is gorgeous midnight blue I love this polish...it is long lasting and never chips and was actually a cheap and cheerful purchase which just goes to show that expensive doesn't always mean better.

Next is Deborah Lippmann Razzle Dazzle....a lovely polish which annoyingly takes three coats to get the desired effect, i would expect more from something so expensive....it needs a top coat aswell, as it feels like grit on your fingernail without it!

Last on the left hand is another Claires Accessories mini which fares much better than it's counterpart. In a Silver Glitter and three coats this works as a stand alone polish and looks quite cute next to the Razzle Dazzle...i think i might alternate my nails with the both of them!

Onto the right hand

first is OPI Be A Dahlia Won't You...now i never saw myself in a bright pink nail polish until now...i love this stuff, it is so long lasting and doesn't chip for ages and makes me feel that little bit girly with the sparkles :)

then it's OPI Gold Shatter but i did a few coats to show it as a stand alone polish. It gives a nice sparkly gold and with a topcoat, would look really nice :)

then is Andrea Fullerton Eliza. Lovely colour polish and i adore the pearly finish but good god it is a nightmare to get off the nails...stained blue forever

then OPI Suzie Says Feng Shui.....This is the weakest OPI i have. It chips and rubs easily and takes an age to dry

then it is a Claires Accessories Lime Green which goes a beautiful gold shimmery pearl on the nail........much longer lasting than the above!

and im sorry my camera is so so guff. it is actually gutting :(
